To my opinion, the video doesn't match with the excellent book. I didn't get new ideas, nor did I find the visualisation of the book's ideas that I've been expecting. Maybe it's too difficult to actually film it, but I am missing to indeed see a vessels behaviour that's lying hove-to according to Lin/Larrey's recommendation. Please get me right, I am sure (rationally, for I couldn't have tried myself, yet) that the "security valve" is a very important tactic, however I'd have loved to see that in the movie, especially with a modern short keeled yacht - I have heard many a skipper who is doubting that a fin keeled BAVARIA or GIB SEA or whatever you find nowadays in Europe would behave as expected trying to heave-to.
