Hello Lin and Larry from the Pacific N.W. My wife and I met you briefly at the P.T. Boat Festival in 08 I think. We go every year as we spent our honeymoon their on our little Coranado 25. That was 9-11-2001, a scary time. Waking to people running up and down the docks at P.T. Marina, yelling about what had just happened. We were not sure if we should continue our voyage. After talking with customs, we did head over to Victoria and then continued our honeymoon cruise to the Islands. We have enjoyed all of your books so much, as they are such a source or encouragement. I was in P.T. in the summer of '78 after getting kicked out of the Army for way to much drinking and what not. I wonder if you guys ever ran into Beau and his ol' lady on their home built 48ft cat, red junk sails. Beau was a master wood craftsman, last I heard he was doing cabinet work at the yard; that was a long time ago. I met them when they first came back from Hawaii, no engine, at Port Angeles harbor in 1974. I was fifteen. We plan to leave for Mexico next fall on our little Cascade 29 (1964). Planning to head to the Marquesas, but will not set any hard plans and go as long as it's fun! We plan to do some writing at some point, with your encouragement from Care and Comfort. I am following Jeanne Socrates, on Nereida, oldest female around solo. Currently at lat.50 south, long 110W as of 12-28-10, just getting ready to get around the Horn. She monitors Freq. 14.305 @ 22.45 and also after Pac.C net. @ 0400.

Again thanks so much for all you encouragement to newbies.
Cheer's,
Dave and Leiann Scee S.V. Chrysalis II
